Pigment-dyed closed-cell tube for colour-coded systems: red marks heating lines, blue marks cooling, orange marks fire services, black is the standard colour. Colour coding is normally specified by the project — standard export orders ship in black.

Values are nominal production figures, tested per batch. Density, wall thickness and colour are produced to the customer's specification.
— means the value is identical for Class B and Class 0.
Inner diameter 6–89 mm (1/4″–3-1/2″) · wall thickness 6–50 mm (1/4″–2″). Intermediate sizes produced on request.
The foam is the same closed-cell NBR/EPDM as the black tube — only the pigment changes. The reason to specify a colour is maintenance and safety, not thermal performance.
Red for heating, blue for cooling, orange for fire services, black as standard. Once a plant room has twenty lines in a ceiling void, the insulation becomes the identification layer: a fitter can trace a circuit without reading tags that have fallen off.
Hospital, laboratory and industrial projects often specify insulation colour by service in the mechanical schedule. If that is in the spec, a black-only supply fails the inspection even though the foam is identical.
A colour code that stops at every joint is not a code. The tape is produced in the same colours so the line reads as one service from end to end — that is the point of buying them together.
Where the insulation is visible and someone has to know what the line carries without a label. Note the limit: pigment is in the mass, but long outdoor exposure will still fade the surface — colour coding is an indoor or protected application.
Colour is a production parameter, not a stock item. Three things decide the order:
Standard export orders ship in black. If a project asks for colour, say so at enquiry stage rather than at loading: a colour change after production is a remake.
Yes — the same closed-cell NBR/EPDM formulation with the same thermal, moisture and fire data; only the pigment differs. Density, λ and service temperature are unchanged, so the thickness you calculated for the black tube applies directly.
Black as standard, with red, blue and orange produced to order for the tube, and black, red, blue and green for sheet and tape. Other colours can be discussed at quotation; minimum quantities per colour depend on the size and wall thickness.
Pigment is in the material, not a coating, so it does not flake off. Long-term ultraviolet exposure will still fade the surface, which is why colour coding belongs on indoor or protected pipework. For outdoor runs, use the jacketed compound tube or protect the surface.
Yes, and it is the normal way to keep a colour-coded project economical: several colours in one shipment, each with its own packing mark. Tell us the split at quotation so the packing list matches the mechanical schedule.
Send the inner diameter, wall thickness, class and quantity, or simply attach your BOQ. We quote FOB Shanghai as standard, EXW or CIF on request.
